Hoppin' on the blog wagon!

So, here I am, giving into the whole "blogging" thing a try. What made me cave you ask? I dunno... Maybe all the random thoughts I have jumping around in my brain from day to day just needed a place to go. And since my "keeping a journal" skills could be summed up as pretty much non-existent, then I figure why not use the online world to keep track of myself. Not saying anyone in particular will find me anymore exciting than going through old receipts. Except of course the woman who gave me life some 23 years ago (Hi, mom - yes I know your reading this). Other than that... if you happen to be reading through this I hope I can provide you with some sort of entertainment to distract you from the monotony of daily life.

Ahh, where should I start? I think I'll begin by asking a profound and deep question for all to contemplate and hopefully answer: What would you do if you were a billionaire? As I was driving home from work today and listening to the radio, I was greeted once again with Travis McCoy's song, Billionaire. If you haven't had the, uh, privilege of listening to it, he sings: "I wanna be a billionaire so fricking bad, buy all of the things I never had. I wanna be on the cover of Forbes magazine, smiling next to Oprah and the Queen. I’ll be playing basketball with the President..." And on and on. Ah, Travis, what a philosopher. If I had a billion $$ I'd move to Newport beach, buy a house on the lake that flows into the ocean, and rent out rooms to college kids for way cheap. Then get a professional to teach me how to knit.

Moving onto other more serious things. Now I can start talking about a REAL important issue : ME! Hah. What did you think this bloggie was about anyways?! So to catch everyone up on my life thus far: I am currently awaiting going back to school (big gasp) yes, BYU-I. Don't act so surprised! Sheesh. For now however I'm making the big bucks working for CVS. Actually I don't even start untill Monday and then I will also still be working at my old job for a little bit. Omg - StoryTime!!! Everyone grab their pillows and popcorn. SO, This year I've been watching the most adorable kids for the most adorable couple, (well, the wife is. The significant other is a "BYU" fan. And that should tell you Everything) (p.s. I love you guys), and just this last week I got a call from the temp agency I was signed up with saying they had a job for me until I leave in December. I thought I would be able to work both jobs, but alas, it just wouldn't work. I would get like, no sleep. I Hate (notice the capital) to have to quite b/c well, I Love (notice the capital) that fambam. But they are being so super nice and understanding about everything! Did I mention I love, I mean, Love you guys?! Seriously. So that's where I'm at now. Other than that I spend my free time working out at the gym, scrap booking, practicing my singing and piano so I'm all super ready for BYU-I, and of course, doing fun things with friends and fam.

...And speaking of fun things... (I know, I know, I have a lot to say, but I'm almost done. Oh wait, this is My blog I don't have to stop haha. This new power is invigorating). Tomorrow I'm going with friends to Calaveras Big Trees located in the Sierra Nevada. Supposedly the tallest and "biggest around" redwood trees in the world decided to grow there. And since this is my fun things section, last weekend I went to Pinecrest with the same group of friends and we had what one would call a Pretty Freakin' Great Time! I cliff jumped 5 times, hiked 4 miles, spent time with 3 awesome friends, canoed 2 miles, and found 1 geocache. Sweet. (p.s. Did you like how I did the whole 5-4-3-2-1 thing?! Yeah, I made that up all by myself.) This past whole summer has been sweetness all around. Beaches, Temple trips, Relatives in Capitola, Beach Boardwalk in SC, Canoeing down the Merced River, WICKED - Twice!!, Family Reunion in San Francisco, Magic Mountain.. Lot's of good times. Now I must buckle down and earn that moola!

Though as for now I must get some sleep. I will leave you with this one last quote however:
"There is no comfort in a growing zone and no growing in a comfort zone." Deep. Got that from a friend. How true it is! So let's get out there and water ourselves so we'll grow just like those huge-o-mongous redwoods. <3LB
